University of Arizona Global Campus Student Affairs Assistant (Work-Study) in United States
Position Summary:
The Student Affairs Assistant (Work Study) is a remote part-time employment opportunity in the Student Affairs Department. Reporting to the Student Success Program Manager, the role will be responsible for supporting the Student Affairs initiatives that support the developmental needs of the diverse University of Arizona Global Campus student population.
Student employment eligibility:
Students must be awarded Federal College Work-study or Campus Employment to apply for any Student Employment positions.
Campus Work-study (CWS) provides part-time jobs for students attending the University of Arizona Global Campus with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expense. The program encourages community service work and work related to the recipient’s course of study.
The Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), Federal Work-study (FWS), and Federal Perkins Loan programs are called campus-based programs because they are administered directly by the financial aid office at each participating school.
Essential Job Duties:
Support student success initiatives within the CHAMPS Mentoring Program
Help facilitate ongoing recruitment and student and alumni engagement activities as assigned by the Student Engagement Manager
Develop digital materials for the Student Care team, as assigned by the Student Care Manager
Support the operations and student and alumni engagement initiatives for Career Services
Support the Office of Student Access and Wellness staff as needed
Conduct additional student support activities, as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Eligible to receive Federal Work Study funding
Enrolled in a degree-seeking program with The University of Arizona Global Campus
Must be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress
Have no holds on student account
Have no history of Student Community Standards violations
Possess reliable phone, internet connection and computer
Have a minimum 15 hours per week available for work study employment
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Adobe Connect or other virtual meeting modalities
Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven organizational skills maintaining communication records
Education Requirements:
The successful candidate will be an active/enrolled student in a degree-seeking program at The University of Arizona Global Campus.
