University of Arizona Global Campus Senior Systems Administrator in United States
The University of Arizona Global Campus is seeking a full-time Systems Administrator, Senior to support its enterprise Azure Active Directory, Exchange, and Office365 tenant deployments. The Systems Administrator, Senior will act as the primary subject matter expert for all Azure-based infrastructure and for identity and access management on behalf of the Global Campus. The Systems Administrator, Senior will work with other technical staff and supply chain partners to see that we operate a secure, right-sized environment that ensures correct, cost-effective, system performance.
The successful candidate will be a curious, detail-oriented, analytical thinker well versed in Microsoft technologies and best practices who can consider multiple options, exercise good judgement, make decisions, and maintain good client relations. Individuals with Microsoft certifications who have previous experience as an architect or a technical lead in non-profit, higher education enterprise environments are highly desired.
Essential Job Duties:
Operate and Maintain the full suite of services in the Office365 environment including Exchange, Sharepoint, Teams, & PowerBI.
Implement and Maintain automated solutions for onboarding and offboarding of personnel within Identity and Authentication systems. (Such as Active Directory, Azure AD, Azure SSO, Okta, etc.)
Act as the subject matter expert for Identity and Access Management.
Act as the Subject Matter Expert for the Azure environment.
Bear accountability for the security and reliability of Exchange Online and Office 365 systems and services.
Partner with business units to evaluate and drive adoption of new capabilities for Office 365 and related tools, services and systems
Develop future strategies for Office 365 products and services
Maintain consistent, quality documentation to meet ongoing operations and business continuity requirements. Documentation will include system topologies, operating instructions and disaster recovery procedures for new and changed infrastructure.
Architect and maintain highly resilient connectivity to and within the Azure environment
Operate and maintain other high availability systems
Experience working with Office 365, Active Directory, Exchange, and Azure
Experience working with EMS (Enterprise Mobility Suite), Azure AD for Office 365 Identity - Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS/WAP) and Directory Synchronization (AADC/DirSync), eDiscovery.
In depth working knowledge of complex computing management systems including system administration, performance monitoring, problem management, change management, records management and disaster prevention and recovery.
Knowledge of MDM Intune Management and Support of on premise and Office 365 integrated solutions.
Knowledge of Installs, upgrades, configures, tests, maintains and supports operating system software in a high-availability production environment.
5+ years' experience with Microsoft Server Operating Systems, particularly with Azure -- spin up VM's, Azure AD, Resource Groups, Load Balancing, virtual networks, app services, storage accounts, and monitoring in Azure.
5+ years' working in a .Net development and hosting environment.
Experience automating in PowerShell.
High level knowledge of computer operating systems which include windows and Unix platforms and how they interact with IP & San networks, database systems, and applications.
Strong communication skills.
Technical experience with most of the following technologies:
Microsoft Message Queuing Service (MSMQ)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or related field preferred..
