University of Arizona Global Campus Graduation Coordinator in Chandler, Arizona

The Graduation Coordinator position is a full-time employment opportunity located in Chandler, Arizona. Working in the office of the Registrar, the Graduation Coordinator will assist the Manager, University Events in the planning and execution of Commencement Ceremonies, specifically with the related administrative tasks that surround commencement, in addition to validating and qualifying students for graduation.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Manage communications for students concerning deadlines and responsibilities required to graduate.

  • Work closely with the Manager, University Events in the planning of Commencement Ceremonies held by UAGC in collaboration with the University Graduation Committee.

  • Maintain relationship with third party vendors for diploma and regalia ordering.

  • Responsible for assisting in documentation of standard operating procedures and managed templates.

  • Create and manage graduate lists and project graduation “class” sizes and ceremony needs for students.

  • Process various requests and paperwork for students in relation to commencement and graduation.

  • Facilitate diploma/transcript notarizations

  • Represent UAGC as the main point of contact for all student and staff graduation and commencement-related questions.

  • Help to develop new methods to execute a positive Commencement experience for graduates and their families.

  • Assist in trainings to keep Student Services and Enrollment up-to-date on Graduation processes and requirements.

  • Assist with the Marketing Department to update website information as needed.

  • Review and process petitions to graduate from students.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to work collaboratively and achieve consensus with diverse departments and populations, and cultivate ongoing relationships with many individuals.

  • Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Outlook to manage communication and work flow.

  • Ability to follow University policies and procedures balanced with the ability to apply good independent judgment is necessary.

  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required.

  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills are a must

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous event planning experience is preferred.

  • Previous college administration experience is a plus.

  • Experience with student information systems is a plus.


  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
